For those of you that know Thunderhill, Elena is running in the 2:02's, last I heard on her 125.  The pole in the AFM races there is usually around 1:56 for formula pacific (heavily modified big bikes).  She is fast and talented.

talent? i think it all has to do with her weight  ;)
My hunch was right...Pandy is the biggest Post Whore!

Not to diminish her skill, but weighing 50+lbs less than her competitors probably helps, too!
then, those classes should be dominated by 12 year old boys

No jetswing ... that will have to be dominated by 9 year old boys ... cos at 12 they are nearly full size and 9 yr olds have no hand-eye coordination  ... remember women even when fully grown are smaller ... BTW what are the other riders riding ... some sorta 600-750 RR type ... no wonder on a tight race track no way anyone can keep up with a 125 with a 45 lb rider ...
Cool.

Well I don't know if this applies to motorcycling at all, but in the world of kayaking, women have an advantage because the center of gravity is closer to a womans hips and a man's center of gravity is closer to his shoulders.  Seems if a woman motorcyclist has a lower center of gravity it might help somewhat.  But she is probably too young to have hips yet

Women do have a much easier time finding the balance and rolling a kayak because of thier lower center of gravity, dang I missed my chance, could have used that on joerocker since he never thought women were good at anything. :)

I'd bet on both:  talent, weight, and low cg.  Okay, all three.

Oh...and no fear...

OK I am betting on weight and CG (whatever - top heavy doesn't hurt all that much unless you're fighting wheelies) and the talent part comes from being mature enough to learn and remember while still being light enough to take advantage of that. Now 2.02's vs 1.56 is a huge difference, formula super bike types aren't the quickest way around a tight race course though, 250 and 125 GP bikes are. And on those every ounce matters ...
Cool.
