Signmaker roos his bad luck

ROAD signs are not often used as get well cards, but the mates of Montrose man John Fleming just couldn't resist.

Mr Fleming, 45, broke his collarbone three weeks ago when he ran into a big kangaroo on the South Gippsland Highway.
Ironically, he works for a company that provides roadside warning signs -- including the yellow and black kangaroo signs.

"I was riding my motorbike with my mate when the kangaroo jumped out and I ran straight into it," he said.

Barely conscious, he rolled off the road just minutes before his beloved 23-year-old Kawasaki was hit by a car.

"Of course I've got a bit of flak from my mates calling me Skippy and the guys from work sent me a get well card that's a warning sign for a kangaroo," he said.

Try to explain the "kangawallafox".
Emu's are bad near Cobar, their body is right at windscreen height.
