The reason i havent been on here for the last week much is because I had a nasty fall on my bicycle.

I was riding to school on the street. The parkway is closed for maintance or something.. so until the 21st i cant take the shorter parkway route.

Anyway I am clipping around like 10-20mph on my mountain bike and i see this sprinkler on the right watering the road.. i am like no biggie.. stop pedelling and let me coast thru the wet region. Next thing i know i am flying off my bicycle and on to the asphalt and then i hear brakes squealing.

I flew off the bike lane and into main lanes of traffic. I banged up my cell phone (which some how still works even though the bluetooth is flaky now and the front LCD is broken) and I bruised my knees and my palms. I also cut myself (road rash) thru my sweat shirt/jacket.

After i checked myself over, i rode to school, wrote my mid term and then and hour later after the accident I walked over to the health center to get patched up. I was bleeding quite bad from my arm ( didnt know because of the jacket  that soaked most of the blood). If i wasnt wearing the jacket the roadrash would have been a lot worse.

Anyway so right now the bruises are almost gone you can see purple marks on my arms & legs. The road rash is slowly healing. It did start to ooze today beacuse i rubbed it against my pillow this morning when getting out of bed. I got to put back the bandage..

Anyway so lesson of this story - watch out for OIL. It turns out someone poured about a quart of 80wt gear oil on the road (it wasnt just a little bit of oil) and the water made it very slick. I beleive someone cleaned teh area out a bit later. It seemed a lot different later on today.. but that was one scary mofo..

Glad to hear you're alright. If you want, I'll beat up the oil patch for ya to win over your affection.

Yikes ... damn exams ... all the sheite happens right around then ... and It was 80 wt ... OK then I'll knock over an old harley for you ...

I'd say that if you're going to try to fly your bicycle, you need full gear!
