I don't polish my lips; I just use Carmex.

How do you get the paint off, and start the process? I was gonna have mine powder coated this winter but I may polish the rim and coat the center grey

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

aircraft stripper from the local auto parts store/automotive paint store

sweet.. thanks jazzzz.

you guys/girls that have done this, do you like the results? Is it worth it? Do you think I should strip it down first then tape off the chrome and have the center powder coated?

I am guessing that because of the rough texture of the center is why no one strips that part? Or has someone done that as well?

First off, it's aluminum, not chrome.  The reason I didn't strip the entire wheel is because 1. I like the contrast, and 2. Cleaning the wheel center's interiors would be a nightmare with the textured surface.  +1 on the use of aircraft paint remover.  It made the process a breeze.  Be sure to tape off any areas that you don't want affected, then spray carefully.  There is also a brush on type you can use.
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!

its near impossible to get all of the paint off on the rough part.  its almost porus (sp).  it looks like shaZam! too.
