Installing intergrated tail lights will probally void the warranty for the ummm tail lights. . . maybe the electrical system  :dunno: depends on the dealer.  Both Boss500 and I have those lights installed.  Very easy only pain is when you have to find another transistor when you ummm break one

How long to install? Is it really plug and play like they say? That easy? Or does cutting, stripping, and crimping need to be done?

It took less than an hour but not quite sure how long.  You can do it with what they give you in the kit.  I suggest you buy some wire  16 guage I think some red some black.  That way you wont have to cut the wires that are on your turn signal.  It's very simple.

Oh forggot yes you do have to cut some wires and crip others but still it's very easy.  You will need some zip ties for mounting the transistors also.

i bought that...I'm just too lazy to install it...I keep thinking about visibility and bla bla bla...

I think it makes the tail look super clean...it looks very easy to install like you said.

somebody motivate me.. maybe after class tonight... that reminds me, i'm freakin late...again...stupid

I was thinking about keeping my stock signals on also, for more visibility.

Damn I just noticed that. I really like it. It should make the Uber Fender removal really easy.

Hmmm.

Now, that makes sense.  I don't trust cagers to see an integrated taillight, but the combo might be better than just one or the other.  You'll need to do a bit more work to split it to both.

Tangentially - I saw a sportbike the other day with the most fooked-up lighting.  His taillight would flash and the integrated signals blink when he was just driving around (I mean, not just a regular flashing; they were dancing all over like Times Square), and the tail would go solid and the side he was turning to go solid when he stopped or turned.  All red LED.  It gave me a headache just to look at it.  I wanted to dope slap him for that one.

I saw a tricked SV with a "Times Square" taillight...  I didn't really get it...  It was flashing all kinds of wacky stuff and it was kinda hard to tell when he had his signal on.

I'd like to get a tail light that flashes for a few seconds when I'm braking, but other than that...  I think it just complicates things and makes it harder for people to understand what you're doing.

If you want more visability get the led lights from here
http://www.customdynamics.com
Personally I don't know if it's true or how much brighter they are but they do come with a guarantee that they are the brightest led's on the market.
I know everyone seems to think the led light kits are not good for safety, but I want to put a 4 led light kit on the bike.

Why would you integrate and keep the stockers on? That makes no sense to me. I integrated to remove the big signals and clean up the tail. What is the goal here?

Well, in the perfect world, I would take the stock signals off, but, there are many people that would say "why is the left side of his brake light blinking yellow?". So I'll see how I like them before I take the stock signals off and cut it all off.

My fender's gone so I'm stuck with what I've got (which was what I wanted, so I'm not mad). But good plan.

They make two differnt kits.  One the intergrater well is intergrated.  The second kit is just led brake lights and you keep the stock turn signals.  Check their main website

Visibility.  The cager has two chances to see that you're turning.

This idea of the cager not seeing the signal confuses me. What would happen here? So I'm in the left-turn lane waiting to take a left. Are you saying that if I don't have a signal on, the car behind me is going to ram me? I have been behind plenty of cars and bikes that were sitting there with no signal on and I stopped plenty short of them.

I know that our goal is to remain as clear and visible as possible, but I need help here on what would happen if a car couldn't see your blinker.  :dunno:

Well, would you have an easier time catching 2 blinkers out of the corner of your eye or 1?

Yeah, of course 2. But what's the point? If you can't catch one, you probably are retarded and shouldn't be driving.

Oh well, I thought it would be cool just to have 2 signals, but I probably won't do it yet because I don't want to void the warranty incase something does go wrong and it's their fault.
