Laugh all you want LA-boy.  Usually this is a pretty dry time for us--it helps the leaves go all colorful and attracts tourists--but we seem to be caught in precipitation purgatory.

Not to be glib though, it's actually been a very serious problem up here since last weekend...like state-of-emergency, bridges, roads, and houses washing away, storm drains overflowing, sea walls failing, severe flood warning, people dying kind of problem.  Parts of New Hampshire hit with over 11 inches of rain over the weekend had a number of fatalities associated with the resulting flooding.  It seems to be tapering off, but I've heard that there is an outside possibility that a tropical air mass could dump as much as 7 inches of rain up here on Friday.  With rivers already at/over flood stage, that would be Bad News.
