Does the K&N ru-2970 have internal velocity stacks? if not would it be worth $13 a piece for these ones from cheetah supply?:

No it does not. Probably not worth it just by themselves.
Common sense in not very common.

has anyone ever ever done this to try to kill the 5500RPM flat spot? I haven't done the math for intake resonance (yet). I am not sure there is enough intake tract length available in the airbox...

Maybe if you got an extra set of intake boots and some exhaust pipe put them in between the K&N and the carbs (since the airbox would be gone anyways), you could "in theory" increase the intake runner length but then you would also have to fab a bracket to hold the extensions in place so they dont vibrate off. Id love to see some dyno info on that. Anyone have one at their disposal?
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......
