Chefod, bringing some excitment back to the board!

Hey, if you look in Racers Corner, you may find info on steering stablizers.  Some are required for racing.  Many people have done this mod, but it may require some welding.

BTW, a 15t sproket will probably slow your bike down a bit.  No more 120 mph blasts down to the fishing shack.

He's speedo's just more out of whack than most.

I dont think it is the speedo that is out of wack.

I had my speedo read 190 kph once , but i believe it was probably more like 180-185.
thats with full magnum race exhaust system, k&n drop in filter, rejetting.
it was very unstable.
last night installed progressive fork springs & 15w fork oil. hit 165 kph on pretty crappy road and it was so smooth and silky. i love my new springs !!!

actually 190km/h would be around 170km/h... the spedometer is approx 10% high... so the faster you go, the more out of wack it is. I had it tested by a calibrated police radar.

I think thats how most of us get ours tested too.  ;)

I'm not convinced that the "unintentional radar calibration" method is that accurate (i.e., getting a ticket).  One of the last times I was tagged (in my car), the speed he gave me was significantly lower than the speed I was actually travelling.    I was braking rather heavily, though.  He tagged me at 77, but moments before I was going well over 100.  While I may have gotten down to 77 before he got the gun on me, I find it a bit unlikely.  I also think it's unlikey that my speedo was that far off.  He may have given me a break...it was a bit of a bizarre situation.

Ok, you got me there :P

but actually, most 4 cylinder bikes can get tested accurately on a dyno. But ours are done with the front tire so I guess its out of the question... i've done it on the speedtraps too that say "your speed / Max speed".
