It was cold and raining, perfect day for a ride right? WRONG, the starter works but it wouldn't turn over, I was going to go get oil to do an oil change but I don't think it's the slightly low oil (as in I change it ever 600kms) fiddled with the choke to on availe, tried opening the throttle a bit a very very small sputter and then nothing. Any comments suggestions? it was out in the cold all day and I haven't ridden her for a couple of days, but this has never happened before. Any advice would be great thanks.

Ya, the colder it gets, the more the battery discharges when you don't use it.  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Check battery and clean contacts with a metal hair brush.

BTW: oil change each 600KM? Are you using worst-quality-in-the-world
oil? Are you having a engine internal wash? A break-in period?
Any oil will last at least 2500Km.

Modern oils are formulated to last lots of Km. Some european cars
use oils that last 60.000Km, even modern bikes have maintenances scheduled at 10.000Km. I change every 7500.

Marc.

Oh I just thought that it wouldn't hurt the bike to change it every 600kms...I guess I could do it less often. I'll try jumping it from my car, thanks everyone.

Just make sure you have the car turned off!
