Kinda bike related... The genius (inlaws) that assembled a stationary bike cross threaded one of the foot pedals, and then never road it. So, a few years later now that I'm using it, its completely lost its threads... what to do? There's enough rat bikes here, someone ought to know

helicoil  or you can go getto and try to JB weld it.

I had to replace the cranks.
...JB Weld?...can't believe a professional welder would suggest glueing such an important component...what if it lets go while you're climbing a steep incline?
...then again, if I'd thought of it, I'd have tried it.
