Disclaimer: I know nothing about bikes.

Anyway, I just got my first bike a few months ago, and mmmmm, I love it!! But it's leaking gas, and I think it's because I left the fuel valve on Pri for a couple of nights. Actually that's my first question, what's the difference between On and Pri? I thought there was suppose to be an off.

Anyways, when I tilt the bike straight up or to the right, gas will leak from a little black hose rubber thingy (I'm super technical) on the lower right side of the engine. (I have the repair / service manual for the bike, but this is a killer term at school so I haven't had a great deal of time to study it)

Any ideas? Thanks!

The fuel system on the GS is vacuum driven, so on is off, as long as the bike is off.  If the bike's on, it will suck fuel out.  PRI is for prime.  It delivers fuel via gravity (like the 'on' on the drip system bikes they told you about in the MSF), and if you leave the bike on PRI when it's not running , it'll leak fuel.  PRI is used if, for example, your carbs are dry.  Leave the bike on 'on'.

Looks like when you left it on prime the gas flowed back into the airbox and then out the black tubey thingy.  

Leaving the switch in the ON or RES position blocks fuel to the tank unless the engine is running.  Sometimes you may have to prime the carbs if the bike has been sitting for a while and the fuel in the float bowls has dried up.  In that case you just move the switch to prime for a few seconds until the float bowls fill up.  Switch to On and then start the bike.
