starts here and goes up 2 hwy:

this is the only place I've been so far in the mountains and I wouldn't have time for experiments tomorrow, so that's where I am going :) and yes, I go around 40 on average there, so if you guys join you'll have to be patient

I remember that road. Great road, but got to watch out for the squids.
There is a nice place to have breakfast near La Canada if I remember right . Havent been there since 1995 ish. Now I live about 125 miles away.
For you non California types. Its like 20-40 miles of twisties depending on the route you take.
ACH: Angeles Crest Highway
La Canada: prnounced La Conyada

ok, so after half an hour struggle (6-6:30) I finally won and even made it there by the time of the sunrise, did not look spectacular though   Still had tons of fun went up another 5mph but froze to death. After I got to the point where the road is closed I realized that after the first stop to make a pic I forgot to zip the jacket  :x after zipping it up life definitely improved and after I got to Newcombs Ranch for a cup of hot coffee I decided that it's one of the best mornings in my life (although still recall my way to ACH as a trip to mother Russia   ). With my new pants I barely notice the speed now and with new helmet I don't have to stop every half an hour... LIFE IS GOOD!  :thumb:

Met a fox, a crazy squirrel and a small deer (or whatever you call these small deerish creatures with almost no horns ) on my way which made my day even more exciting (yes, yes, I still get my kicks out of meeting wild animals, even if it's just a squirrel :) )

Life is GOOOOOOOD!
