First mistake - im a poor college student and live at home (thus sharing a garage)

2nd mistake - not having a better place for my bike while they are re-doing my garage (so they all feel they can move my bike)

A while ago they tipped it over and broke my clutch lever... well i fixed that.

Now i go out and my hadlebars are bent GRRRRR

bottom line is i needed new ones anyways so what should i get? (1990 gs500)

get some aftermarket dirtbike bars off of ebay.  I have had two pairs on my bike, both renthals and they are awesome.  alittle wider and not as high.

I got the G. Daytona bend and it will sit you up noticably, you'll feel like you're in the sit-up-and-beg position. The G.P. Touring is the closest in dimentions to the stock bar (27.5" width x 3.5" rise x 7.5" pullback/sweep), but a little lower. If you get the Daytona be sure to cut at least a 1/2" inch off of each end so that you can still use the stock throttle and clutch cables and the stock brake line. Cut off 3/4" to get it to stock width. Depending on the shop, you should be able to get these for around $15.

I've been considering getting those Bikemaster Clubmans to try out. They have a pair at one of the shops here for $18ish. I don't mind drilling, either. If you get them we expect lots of pictures.

i have a set on the way, only catch is the only camera i have is in my phone.  If i get them on and rotated around so they work i will post some pics.  Hopefully they will go on without a hitch, i don't want to have to go american chopper on its ass in my parking lot
