McCoy: Shouldn't you be working on your time warp calculations, Mr Spock?
Spock: I am. (He resumes staring into space)

Kirk: At times you seem quite human.
Spock: Captain, I don't think that insults are within your prerogative as my commanding officer.

Spock: I have never understood the female capacity to avoid a direct answer to any question.

Kirk: Well, there it is - war. We didn't want it, but we've got it.
Spock: It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want.

Kirk: What would you say the odds are on our getting out of here?
Spock: It is difficult to be precise, Captain. I should say approximately 7824.7 to one.
Kirk: Difficult to be precise? 7824 to one?
Spock: 7824.7 to one.
Kirk: That's a pretty close approximation.
Spock: I endeavour to be accurate.
Kirk: You do quite well.

Flavius: What do you call those?
Spock: I call them ears.
Flavius: Are you trying to be funny?
Spock: Never.

Kirk: Is there anyone on this ship who even remotely looks like Satan?
Spock: I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain.
Kirk: No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be.

Spock: It has to do with biology.
Kirk: What?
Spock: Biology!
Kirk: What kind of biology?
Spock: Vulcan biology.
Kirk: You mean... the biology of Vulcans? Biology as in reproduction? (long pause) There's no need to be embarrassed, Mr Spock; it happens to the birds and the bees.
Spock: The birds and the bees are not Vulcans, Captain. If they were - if any creature as proudly logical as us - were to have their logic ripped from them as this time does to us... How do Vulcans choose their mates? Haven't you ever wondered?
Kirk: I guess the rest of us assume that it's done quite logically.
Spock: No. It is not.

It took you this long to gather that? Wow!

I only like the old Star Trek. It was the best. TNG wasn't that bad, but it didn't compare to the original.

I loved TNG when it was still on the air...  Never liked original...  The later movies were ok though.

      I like that one the best.

I've never gotten "into" star trek. But I do like some other sci-fi stuff like the Shape Of Things To Come and Logan's Run.  :thumb: And I love anything written by Bradbury or Asimov.  :thumb:

Holy crap. I haven't seen that movie in AGES. Was it ever a big movie? Or is it just a cult classic? We used to own it and I watched it all the time.

RE: Logan's Run. I don't think it was ever much of a popular movie. I took a Science Fiction Literature class in college (it was awesome!) and toward the end of the semester after we finished reading the assigned books and projects, we got to watch SciFi movies. So I watched it in there, and of course we had to write an analysis on it  :thumb:

There were a few OLD ones we saw. I think it was called The Shape Of Things To Come / I, Robot. I was pretty out of it that day, but I remember thinking "wow this is OLD". It was black and white, and the "robot" looked like a tin-foiled wrapped box with a person in it.    Ever see that? OOOOOLLLLDDD.

Ride Hard...or go home.

Its you Vs the pavement.....who wins today?

TOS had a cheesy appeal.  TNG was probably the best in terms of writing and acting, and I liked it, but I didn't really get into it.  Voyager had the best pilot with the worst show attached to it.  I really liked DS9.  My fave of the bunch.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Roadstergal

Ja, for me, Spock and McCoy _made_ TOS.

Just to add to the dork fest, Logan's Run was also a TV series.
