Sweet looking bike.  :thumb: I'm thinking the SV650S may be my next bike a couple of years down the road.  My GS keeps dragging when taken off road around the farm, almost like it's not designed for that or something...   How comfey is it?  The bars look pretty low...or maybe the tank is high, making the bars look low...  :?
GS500F in BLUE because that's the COOLEST color!

The bars are clipons, so they're definitely lower, which is exactly what I'm looking for (plus the tank *is* higher). I really liked the way the seat got narrow so that I can at least put the balls of both feet down (I'm sooooo used to being able to flat-foot it with my GS). I really like the FZ6, too, but it's a bit tall (I could do it, but it's tall!). I found the more-agressively sport riding position to be pleasing (the SV650 is much more standard, and I was looking for more lean for my commute). The SVS isn't as top-heavy feeling as the FZ6, too, but I didn't feel it with a full tank of gas, either, so we shall see. Overall, I'm quite impressed with the SVS! I just with the '06's weren't in such..uh.... interesting....colours. :P

But, why do you want all that plastic?

Especially knowing how many times your GS has been down....   :dunno:

You been counting?  :nana:  :nana:  :nana:

 Before my last little getoff, I'd not dropped him in MONTHS.  :P  He has some carb issues, so when he tried to throw me again this past weekend (on a group ride, no less), I hung on tight, and neither of us went down.  :nana:

Plus, I like the riding position of the SVS much better than the nekkid one.  :thumb:

Santa Clara Cycle Accessories has an unfaired SV (actually has a small Givi windscreen) in blue. 730-0600 And, a Monster (don't know what size).
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

I like the faired SVS :(  Thanks for keeping an eye out, though.    :)

I pretty much hugged the tank on my SV650.

Pandy, the SV is a much better street-only bike than the GSX-R 750, IMO.

Ok, I've got a solution for you.  According to my calculations, you'll have to learn how to ride faster.  Much faster.  Then, as you're racing towards everyone, your bike will just blueshift into purple.  According to my calculations, you'll have to travel about 10% of the speed of light, or 67,061,662.9 miles per hour.

Of course, the problem is that after you're heading away from people, your blue bike with redshift into green.

Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

What's behind you doesn't matter.

There was a young lady named Bright
Who traveled much faster than light.
She started one day
In her usual way
And returned on the previous night.

My buddy's got an '04 SV650S. I've ridden it and it was quite comfortable for me and I'm 6 ft. 2. Plus, it has some SERIOUS balls! Quite a bit different than a GS. Just be careful Pandy on your next bike, whatever you end up getting.  :thumb:

I went from the GS to a SV about two months ago and I've had a smile from ear to ear ever since. Way more responsive and comfortable IMO.  I feel like I could ride all day on the SV and man is she frisky! Awesome commuter bike and my insurance didn't even go up. Love the low end torque and love the look. Although I like my girl nekkid'....

That is a good choice in bikes pandy.  Have you though about getting the factory lowers for it.  I think the SVS looks great with them.  Would look like this:
