What's your opinion on the red? I saw it today and wasn't that impressed. You obviousoly liked it enough to get it, I see. But what do you really think? I like the '05 Gixxer red better.

Has anyone seen any '06 SV1000S at the dealers yet?  If so, how does the metallic gray look?  I was hoping that they would wait till spring to release them to dealers.  If there out I am not sure I can wait till spring...even if I won't be able to ride it because of the Ohio winter    Although I am still split between either of the '06 colors or a new '05 black model if there are any left around here.

Missed that post.  That is good news and now I think I am set on the '06 Gray.  Now I gotta search around on the SV forums and see what I might be able to get one for.  I did not really bargain much with the salesman when I bought my GS but this time I am out for the best deal...hell, I will drive 6 hours to pick it up if need be.  Shooting for MSRP or less if I can get it OTD ready to ride off the lot.

I've probably posted this before, but I -hate- digital numeric speedos...much, much harder to read than a traditional needle-and-dial.  That said, having a clock on the console would be awesome.

Haven't had too much experience with it yet (stepson rode bike home for me since it was dark when I picked him up). My bf has a bike 'puter digital speedometer on his FZ6 (read: accurate) that he put on after buying his FZ, and I'll probably do the same with mine if I find he's as off as I've found the Baby G to be.

Well, it's true that the SVS isn't the little gloss puppy that the Gixxer is, but he's got his own charm. It's candy apple and glossy enough to be purdy. I think if you had this baby parked in your garage, you'd fall in love fast.  :kiss: I never thought I'd have a red bike (I'm into purple GS's and blue bikes, in general), but here I am with Big Red, my new baby! My GS was majorly pouting this morning.  :lol:
