seratonin release.  people dont hug me.  if they do, the instantly turn into a salt pillar.

I have blue leds on my 04 F.  It looks pretty good and a lot of people have complemented on them.  4 up in the front fairing, 2 around the battery and shock, and 2 over top of the rear tire.  I mounted the switch up on the left side black plastic so it can not be seen.

At night it makes me that much more visible.

This is exactly the reason I'd consider adding LEDs...anything to make myself more visible at night. In fact, my bf just asked me last week whether I'd wear a bright orange or yellow vest if he got me one (he's worried about my evening commute). Before I started riding at night, I would have told him he's nutz and that I don't want to look like a dufus.

But after riding in the dark a few times, I told him, "Hell, yeah! I'd wear one!"  Heck...*I'll* wear the LEDs if it makes me more visible at night! :lol:

yeah just make sure that the LEDs aren't distracting to people behind you.  Last thing you would want is a person in a car thinking "that is a pretty purple light under there" and then rear ending you cause they didn't see that you were braking.

The idea is to see the glow from the light and not the led light itself.  And not to have it brighter than the turn signal or brake lights.

Yeah, it looked pretty freakin' sweet. I don't know how well it would work out on the GS, though. The FZ1 at least had some (read: a hell of a lot) muscle behind it to back up the looks.

my orange vest with my old unit patches on it has gotten me out of speeding tickets.    I'd like to think that it has prevented a accident though.  still a worthwile investment.

I don't have any unit patches...would my old Brownie and Girl Scout patches work?
