Yeah, yeah, I know, sorry. I can't decide between a couple pair of gloves. And I'm not sure if I really do need them or not. I bought a pair of gloves off of ebay with Carbon fiber knuckles (even the joints in your fingers), they are full leather, the leather seems pretty thin. The only markings on the gloves are keprotec and schoeller, no other names or anything. The gloves I am looking at are these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8008833049&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
these look like they have too much mesh.

I like that these go higher up.

I really like the look of these.

Which do you think are the most protective? Which do you think look the best? I mostly only ride when it's dry.

Schoeller makes Keprotech.  It's good stuff.  Dionysus posted a link to a site called Save Your Hide which talks about it.  But the question is whether the glove is made entirely of it, or if there's just one patch on the middle finger.

Of those auctions, I'd get the SP1.

The street fighter gloves are good for hot weather. They allow air flow into your jacket sleevefor better cooling. The gauntlet style is opposite. They restrict airflow into the sleeve because they go OVER the jacket sleeve. Great for cold weather. If you've got a street fighter style glove in cold weather you'll notice it quickly. Best bet would to get a gauntlet style.

The SP-1 and SP-2 gloves look nice. High quality stuff, A* is. The SP-S gloves look great for the streetfighter style. You'll have to decide on your own which you like. Have you tried any of these one before? When I go to the dealer I try on all their gloves to see how each brand fits me. You don't want the glove to bunch around your palm when you close your hand. A good idea is to find the pair you like at a place with motorcycles (or bring your own) put them on and go sit on a bike. Test the gloves out; twist the throttle, work the clutch, brake, and controls, see what you think.

They were only like $45 off of ebay like 5 months ago, so they probably aren't entirely made of it.

three complaints about those.
1. grip with smooth leather in the fingers is non-existant
2, any fatening system on the outside is likely not to be there in the event if a crash, and there for dos not function as a fastening system. think armalido .
3. 3-4 finger armor/ lack of proctection.  the top of the line race gloves have a piece that connects the 3-4 fingers so your pinky is less likely to get folded back in the event of a slide.

these things are on a 1-10 a 4 at best and whould keep me fron buying but not wearing if I was given a free pair.  :thumb:   btw i have the sp1's  the fale in #3 above. but for street/daily gloves, i couldn't find anything better.

*note.  Pablo in his last crash on the alphabet soup bike was wearing the sp1's.  which reminds me we need gear pics. so everyone harass him for gear pics.
