While I was cagin'  along (had to pick up crap not fitting on my F) I eyeballed an 89/90? GS500E purple, white rims, male rider, blk jacket, blue jeans, blk helmet, blk/red gloves.  Had somethinig camoflauge bungeed on the rear pass seat area.
I thought it might be Turkina since I noticed he is on the riders map, but it's not his bike.

So now I check the riders map again and see no one else on LI.
Anyone know who this is or maybe someone didn't register on the map yet but is on this forum??
Yes i snapped a shot with my phone. We were stopped for a light but I only had time for one pic.
Interests me b/c this is only the secong GS of any models I have seen on LI in over 5 years. Sad isn't it. Some of you guys and gals need to move to Long Island. No on second thought I need to get the HELL OFF the island...!

Where on LI is that?

I grew up in Queens, Lived in Bellmore and East Meadow from 90-99 and now I'm in STL. With housing as much as it is on LI (they consider a $280,000 house a starter house :D ), I can't afford to move back, especially when $280k out here gets you a huge house with a 3 car garage and you can actually find houses here for less then $100k :D I traded good food for cheap living :D

I like to go back and always eat the food I can't get out here:
Nathan's - no one out here has ever heard of Nathan's :o

Friendly's - drove to the closest one which is Columbus, Oh for some of that 2 years ago. 5 scoop Reese's Pieces Sundaes are my fave

Veal Parm heros from a pizza place baked in their pizza oven. There's actually a pizza place out here that gets their supplies from a store they own in Queens so it's good pizza, but it's about 45 mins away. I found one Ital. place that makes a veal parm hero but it was a joke - veal patty w/ 1 piece of cheese and a little bit of sauce

Devil Dogs :D no Drake's cakes out here either

yeah and that's not even what this thread was about :D sorry to post whore  I must be hungry :D

No prob

Its Sunrise hwy Westbound in front of the Massapequa train station. I was on my way home and passed him. When i realized it was a GS I slowed up and he caught up to me.

I would love to get off LI but not happening anytime soon... :(
I agree with the Friendlys- aside from an ice cream cake at a bday party Friendlys is the ONLY ice cream i will have.. and it has to have EXTRA PB on the sundae!!
Devil dogs are good, I prefer Funny Bones myself.
But what you did forget was...

ALL AMERICAN!!! Do you know it?

I know where that is.

I had friends in Mass - I would guess they graduated from MHS around 94 or so. I met alot of those people on some local chat BBS's back in the early 90s

Any Drake's cakes would be fine w/ me :D

All  American was great - i miss the fresh friens - seeing them run potatos through those mashers was always cool :D

I get my RP sundae w/ no hot fudge and extra marshmellow

And we don't have a carvel - well, there's one at the airport but I havern't felt the need for it enoughn to go to the airport :D There's a Dunkin Donuts over in Illinois, but like above - haven't been craving it that much to make the trip - well, now I'm craving them :) Hey - at least we have White Castle :D

The Savvis Center actually sells nathan's hot dogs in their concession stands, and some of the casino's too - but I don't frequent either.

And we have no Diners, no delis - nothing like that. No place to go get mozzarella cheese fries w/ brown gravy at 3am and no place to stop off and get a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast. I better get to sleep before I end up driving somewhere for food :D

I actually graduated Plainedge HS in 94.
I hear what youre saying - Ive been at the diner many times at 3am or so eating that exact same thing or curly fries instead.

I feel sorry for you that you have no good food nearby. id say I could mail you something but that wouldnt work.

Well I am gonna have a snack of Ritz Stix w/ peanut butter. mmmmm :)
Give it a try...

CT always gets left out.  We're a state too you know.  It saddens me.

Even on the TSSB board, there's hardly anyone from CT.  Do you guys know what motorcycles are?

I have only seen one other GS on the streets of LI, not including when I ride with my friend and her GS.

My GS has ugly purple GS500E stickers on it!

Long Island is absolutely horrible for motorcycles.  Lots of traffic and no way to escape to the land of the twisties!  :(

My bad... There is a yellow F model parked outside of the Chem bldg on campus.  Must write up a sticky note...  :)

Yeah..everyone from NY, PA, NJ, MD, CT...Even anyone that wants to ride over from Vermont, Ohio, Virginia..doesn't matter. It's your ass! It will be fun. COME!
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.
