Quote from: RoadstergalIt looks like they're keeping the same naming scheme.   :dunno:   It seems to be very polarized between current BMW owners, though - 50/50 hate the new designs/love the new designs.  I think they're sharp; love the Z4.

Don't forget that the E46 and Z8 were also Banglemobiles.  The interiors of the Z4 and the Z8 are eerily similar, aside from the gauge cluseter placement. I did a side-by-side shot for the Z4 review.
I'm not sure how "Z4, X5" are the same naming scheme...but whatever (not that that is Bangle's doing).  The new 5 looks unwieldy.  I haven't gotten an up-close look at the new 3 yet.

I do like the Z4 much better than the Z3, even though if I was in the market for a roadster I'd probably still look elsewhere (I hated the Z3).  I think the wife is going to get an A4 convertible next year, so that will reduce the likelihood of getting a second rag roof.

When I got rid of my E36 for the E46, I really preferred the old design, but the E46 has grown on me.  I would have kept the E36 if not for the bigger engine.  These days the E36 looks dated.  That said, the engine in the new 3 isn't compelling enough to offset my loathing of the iDrive (I think it's fine for the 7's, marginal for the 5's, and inappropriate for the 3's).  And the 6...blech.  I do hear a lot of folks cooing over them, though....and admittedly I haven't driven one.

Sorry for the threadjack...but I've been a bit preoccupied as to whether I'm going to get an '06 3-coupe, get the last of the E46 M3's ('07?), or just keep my current car until something better comes along.  I suppose I could save a lot of money and get a K1200S instead.

This is false.    Women enjoy - and need - sex just as much as men do. They can usually just control themselves better. Any woman who plays the "I withold sex" card for manipulation purposes isn't worth unwrapping a condom for. I've never had this happen, but if it did, she would do it once and once only.

You are only at her mercy if you allow yourself to be. Men need to be men and not little boys looking for a place to put their pee pee. A real relationship involves meaningful and mutual intimacy and satisfaction.   :thumb:

I liked the Z3s, but I like the Z4s better.  I've driven... a lot of BMWs.  My ex had a Z3 1.9 as his only car, and it's great - with a little modification, it has very good handling, it has easy maintenace, and plenty of power for 'round town while still having good mileage and cheap insurance.  Another ex had an S54 M roadster, and it was a beast on a leash; very easy to control, but lots of power and good handling.  It's a car to drive in state to the track, thrash at the track, and drive back home in state.

Skip the E46 M3 and get the Performance Package 330 (ZHP).  A friend of mine got it as a compromise car because his wife wanted four doors, but now he loves it.  I've ridden with him at the track (it's stock except for wheels and tires), and the thing is just awesome.

The Z4 outhandles the Z3 handily, stock for stock.  It's also much comfier than the Z3.  The 6 series is a blast and a half to drive.  Tons of torque.  Heavy, but it feels more planted than ponderous.

All BMWs understeer stock.  The Z4 does it the least of the ones I've driven (although a few minor suspension mods take care of that; I put Koni adjustables and E30 M3 springs on my 325e and had fun).

Don't worry, my bestest friend in the world has two E36s.

The Miata is a sports car in a cute package.  Double-wishbone suspension, light weight, everything adjustable stock except for rear caster.  I took mine down to under 2000lbs, and it was a great, reliable, efficient car with unbeatable handling (especially with some sticky tires - Falken Azenis RS - track on a budget; too bad they don't make them anymore).

Er, except for the control themselves better comment.  For me, sex is very linked to my emotional feeling about the guy in question.  When I'm in love, I can't get enough sex.  If I'm just friendly, I'm not so horny.  Guys tend more towards the physical it-feels-good-I'll-hit-it side.

Yep.  I've driven a number of M3's, and they're a bit beastly for commuting (but hella fun in the twisties).  I'm not sure how worthwhile it would be to swtich my 330Ci for one with the perf package...I think I'd rather just swap the steering wheel for an M wheel (I keep meaning to...) and get a new set of wheels, I think I can forego the 10hp and 300rpm redline increase.  I still get just over 30mpg on the highway, and that's worth a little compromise to me.

Maybe I'll take a ride out there this weekend and try one out.  Still don't care for the way they look, though.

i think your hornyness like most females diminishes when your angry or hurt by said person. No matter how much you love them.  granted im sure you get over it quick, or have awsome make up sex AFTER you get over being HURT/MAD.  but i really Doubt you get itchy while arguing as its SUPER RARE.   that being said, very few Guys can deny sex Not that many would think of such a thing.  if she wants it bad enough she will get it, while your asleep, (god help you if you wake up and stop it then your done.....DONT ASK)  but guys try to get it while they sleep and the are still angry at you, your dead in the water.   Deny it if you like most wemen get a kick of haveing that power, to deny and can make if valid for any reason and guys have nothing to say about it.

Ive known only one guy that said he would get it else where if denied.  it didnt end well.

its a double standard as was stated, Speak as nobley as you like thats the way it is.   should guys really push for equal treatment as hard as the wemen claim to have wanted,  we are called heartless monsters, Dicks, Creeps, assholes, pricks and what ever else would fit the bill at the time.

DO NOT .... confuse this with deffending the ones you love from OUTSIDE threats.
Accelerate like your being chased, Corner like you mean it, Brake as if you life depends on it.
Ride Hard...or go home.

Its you Vs the pavement.....who wins today?

seems like alot of Miata people head for the GS500 :D

I had 2 - started w/ a white 91 and after 8 months of it I bought a new '00 back in, well, 00 :D had the suspension pkg, HDHCDD, Racing Beat Sways, header, BSP lid for the bling and the FM Duals :D

Took it to Deal's Gap twice (was able to keep up w/ some of the 600s) and took it to Motorsports Ranch in Dallas for a track day. I look forward to hitting DG with whatever bike I end up with

I'd post a GS pic but Im waiting til after the winter to get one since I don't have enough room to ride it around my apartment :D

how the f*ck did I miss this tangent????

I auto-xed my speed a couple times.  It doesn't handle nearly as well as a well modded (suspension!) miata but it's not too bad.  Here's a pic of what it looks like...since we're on the topic of pretty mazda pictures!

You're correct and I've never had it happen to me, either. However, I know PLENTY of relationships where this is true. And, I do realize that men need to be men and not boys looking for a place to stick their pee pee, but everyone needs it at some point in their lives!

It's a 50/50 combo for me. I get enjoyment out of both mental intimacy and the it-feels-good-I'll-hit-it side.  8)

My mother thought it would be fun to have a cute little two-seater convertible she could get around town in and have fun in. She bought a 1998 Miata in the special edition dark blue color. It was supposed to come with the dark blue paint, a different (high quality) shift knob, some dash emblem, and special floor mats. All that was left when she bought it was the knob and the paint, and the knob was wearing pretty bad. It's a fun little car, but they won't let me drive it on my own :( They have to be there with me :( My mother drives it like she is a little old lady. WTF is the point of having a fun little sports car if you drive it like a Lincoln Towncar?

I have gotten to drive it around, and it's a really fun package overall. My mother won't let me mess with the suspension settings though, nor could I drive it up to a "sporting" level in the most minute sense of the word. I hope she gets tired of it in a year and lets me buy it from her. I'd track that sucker.

she must have a '99 10AE -it's a cool  Blue and the seats are black w/ blue suede inlays. A few friends of mine have/had em.

And if you think Miatas are fun, boosted Miatas are even more fun, but it kinda takes away from the pureness of the car if it makes any sense.

Nope. It's a '98. Tan leather interior with a black Mazda and Miata logo in them. I think it was the Touring package? No clue.

I understand the "purity" thing. While turbos might be a ton of fun, it ruins the essence of the machine. The engine is where its heart is, and tacking stuff on kinda ruins the allure of that little engine being so nice.

And don't forget the 83 Corvette ;) Mazda sold the 2nd gens as '98s overseas, but here in the US they are considered '99s even though they started to sell them in early 98.

I never paid attention to what colors were offered so I'm not sure which blue she had - maybe it's navy blue metallic. Had my car come in purple I'd have taken it - I just wanted the suspension pkg. for the performance and color was an afterthought - I was just happy it wasn't red :D
