L Intake : 0.08
R Intake : <0.04
L Exhaust : <0.04
R Exhaust :<0.04

My feeler guages only go down to 0.04 hence the readings.
All the buckets still spin though so there is some clearance.

Thoughts?
should I swap any as the 0.05 increment would make
the clearances

L Intake : 0.03
R Intake : <0.06 to -0.085
L Exhaust : <0.06 to -0.085
R Exhaust :<0.06 to -0.085

Yes, swap the shims, expecially the exhaust; you want maximum contact to transfer heat from the valve to the head. Also, knowing what size shims you have in there, if they're factory shims of the odd sizes (252, 258, 262, 268, etc (keep these)), then your adjustment may be less (.085 to .065).

Definately shoot for the wide end of the clearance.  The valves should tighten up as the seats wear in.  If you leave it at the tight end you might find no clearance at the next interval.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

I just checked mine tonight, but I did not have the right feeler gauge, mine only goes to .04 mm and on the two intake lobes I could not get the
.04 mm to even think about starting. The right exhaust was .15 mm and the left was .10 mm. Did I mention this thing is only running on the right side. The left side just blows raw gas out the tail pipe.

Since everyone's already given you some great advice, I'll just say that I think valve clearances are swell!  :thumb:

Does Jerry know you're here!? Hey, Jerry, she needs a good spanking!

88gta - You know you need to swap the shims out...maybe swap the exhaust shims for the intake shims.

I will give that a try thanks.

OK, finally got around to checking clearances.  I have:

Left Exhaust:  .070     ------           Right Exhaust:  .076 GO .089 NO GO

Left Intake:  .055 to .060   -----    Right Intake:  .048 to .050

The right exhaust .076 feeler is the largest I have besides stacking my .025 and .064 feelers.  I will probibally just leave unless someone thinks it is a bad idea.  Thanks.

If the .76 goes and the next larger size up does not, you're good. Do not stack feeler blades, this will give you a false reading due to the unmeasured space between the blades.
