I think jake is frustrated at the double standards, and the lack of moderation when others make large pointless threads about telling stories and crap...while others get locked for doing the same thing?  :dunno:

So it doesn't seem targetted to any posters...just the decreasing quality of the board.

General Discussion

there's the general discussion forum where all topic should be related to motorcycle and no post whoring should go on. i think we can all agree on that.

Odd n Ends

now, odd n ends is more of free for all as far as the topic of discussion goes. but that doesn't mean you can post whatever you like. one good example of what you should NOT be doing is the "i object to..." threads. they got tossed in to tard farm and rightfully so.

most threads do run out of steam, meaning poeple have not much to say about the topic any longer. if the thread turns in to different topic or people starts to goof around, it's probably cause the topic has been discussed thoroughly. and if there's a general consensus by people involved in the coversation that the topic is dead, there's no harm in goofing around.


Post Whore

post whoring just means you post a lot. there's nothing wrong with that. BUT no topic should be created to just so you can post whore. (do that in the test area! no one cares what you do there).

when i make any posts, i try so that it would some purpose for everyone, not just for my gain or amusement.

what we need is some guidelines for odd n ends and post as an announcement. so when the rules are enforced, no one can cry about it.

I agree with everything JetSwing said (including the fact that he's a giant post whore  :lol: )... so seriously... would a mod please move me to the tard farm? And by me, I mean this thread... if there was a real life tard farm, I'd already be there...
