Neil Gershenfeld of MIT says a revolution is on the horizon for manufacturing -- that existing technologies and tools can bring capabilities once only held by huge factories down to the personal level.

Geek stuff is cool.

I'd love to have one of those.  I think the progress of invention would increase to an unbelievable rate...  

The down side is that a lot of manufacturing companies would go out of business...  Or turn into "design" companies.

Our country abandoned manufacturing and it's workforce years ago.  

When the American people decide they want quality over quantity, we'll be waiting...
