i want to buy a fairing but it has a little rash, how easy is it to fix or how much??  :guns:

What kind of rash?  Maybe a little Hydrocortisone will help!   :mrgreen:

No seriously, what kind of fairing?  If mine had scratches it would mean I would have to paint the whole thing.  Also how much is the fairing!

it's a spec 2 for 200, it has some rash a couple places on the right side

Yes $200 for the whole fairing. It has an upper with a windshield, which is quite intact. The 2 sides, and the right is the one with light rash, the lowers are good and the right side also has a little rash. There is also a rectangular headlight and a frame that goes on the steering neck. There is also a bar brace that fits to the motor mounts and I have it all. I also have that little bag that the wiring is supposed to be stuffed into. There are some bolt holes that have damage...but other than that it is fine.

Doesnt sound too bad, can you look at it in person? If the rash isnt too deep you might can just sand it smooth or if its pretty deep just use some Bondo or simular to fill and sand it smooth.

you are going to repaint it or does it match your bike?

if you are painting....no big deal....part of the prep work for painting anything is fixing slight imperfections....

I would say if its fiberglass, just about anything can be easily fixed. If its cracked up, then get some fiberglass and redo it. If not, bondo and paint should do you good.

also...if the cracks are "tiny"....there is a fiberglass product called "creeping crack cure"...its mainly a marine product for spider cracks and is super easy to work with....if it is deeper "rashes", you could use a product called "marine-tex"...its a putty type thingamabob that can be sanded, drilled, etcetera.....it also hardens quickly so that is nice too.
