I have a friend of 20+ years (Blayne Hall) who bought an outfitting place up there several years ago.  He's been running it ever since, along with sea kayak tours in Greece and the like.

I already own a 993 but TT has a bigger smile factor.  I tried go carts but I can't control them very well.  GS500 is my current substitute for fun.

If you guys realy want to do these things then get out there and do them, at the first chance you have.

Looking back I don't realy regret things I have done, I wish I had done some better maybe and I have done some things that I am not too proud of but I can't change them so that's that.

The only regrets I have are things I have not done, I still have time to do some, Constantinople/Istanbul on a bike remains a distant dream but who knows. Don't spend your later years regreting not doing this that and the other, I believe we get one shot at this, you owe it to yourself to get the best out of it.

I wouldn't mind beating the best time at the GAP with my GS before I die. That would be loads of fun.

5)Is there any of "Route 66" left?
6)Dover-Istanbul overland someday maybe....

Norman Foster designed a wonderful bridge but in that context a lump of coal would look good. Santiago Calatrava would have made a spectacular bridge...as he has many times before.
