Welcome! The bike looks nice. I would have loved to find a used bike no matter how many owners. There just aren't that many round here. Anyway welcome.

Well, the number 4 (shi)IS bad luck in Japanese culture, as it's associated with death.

Anyway, Welcome!

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

The number 4 is a lucky number to many American Indians as it represents the complete circle of life.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

welcome!

oh, and I just uploaded my new bike to the gallery, but I thought I'd post-whore and brag here too.  Mine:

$1150!  7000 miles.  not bad, hmm?  gotta do something about those white rims, though.  Needs a fenderectomy too, I'm told.

Well, do you really have to use an avatar from the "Blair Witch Project?" ;)

Really, it's OK to be the fourth owner; just ask David Gest (Liza Minelli's fourth).

I tried picking it up on my own, but couldn't do it.

Well, the first time I could, but that's 'cause it was on a curb.

The second time was flat in the parking lot.

I think what happened was I forgot to put my butt on the seat for leverage.  I gather that's important.

Someone eventually came by and helped me lift it.

I intend to lay it down gently in the driveway sometime and try again...

When I feel like knocking my bike over, I usually try putting it on it's center stand by putting it in neutral and running backwards with it and quickly dropping the center stand under it using the momentum of the bike to get it on the stand.  :thumb:
