Hi, guys!

How often do you need to re-adjust your chain?

I know it depends on many factors (driving style, lubrication, care), but I'd just like to get some input and a feel for 'average'?

I recently re-adjusted the chain and about 1000km later, I think I'll have to do it again.

Thanks, D.

Maybe I ride like an old woman 8)  but I adjusted the chain only 4 times over the last 30k km.  The would average about every 7250 kms. I tend to keep it on the loose side of the specs, I found out it lasts longer that way. For me anyway.

As a chain gets more worn the more often you need to tighten. The only way to tell is to keep measuring to see if it needs to be tightened.

My original chain lasted several years with an adjustment every few months. I replaced it with a cheap chain 2 years ago and have been adjusting it weekly since. Frustrating! I just bought a DID that will be going on soon, and hopefully I won't have to mess with that one so much.
