I have a question.  if you had a bike that needed a front tire and the back was basically brand new.  and you had a bridgestone on the back but could get a metzler for cheap that was basically brand new. would you mount it even if the speed rating and size and everything matched just not the brand?  if not, explain reasoning, if so, explain reasoning.

oh ya and another thing, is there a such thing where you can get fined for not matching your tires.  any county?

there is no law in any county anywhere as far as i know that says you have to have the same tires on front as back.

Secondly I personally would have no problem at all using different brands from front to back if the situation called for it.  There is no reason why it should be any problem..

I would definitely have no problem putting on a Metzeler ME33 or ME330 front tire. Search "tire" with the username "GSjack" for more definitive info.

I try to use the same make tire front and back...but that's just because you get discounts from some joints for buying them in pairs.

My EX500 runs a Pilot Race H3 in back and an H2 up front (might be backwards).  BT010 on the front of my TL and a BT014 on the back.  I like the combinations.
