I have a new 05 F.  Has anyone else noticed an engine vibration around 5000 rpm???  It seems to be resonating at about 60-80 hz.  I can feel the steady pulses in my legs.  This only seems to happen around 5000 rpm.

I'm just about done with break in and will take it to the dealer this week or next for the 1st service.

Since it's not past break-in, it's really to early to tell, but it sounds normal.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

That means your low on fuel

I find I get some vibrations at high RPM when my fuel tank is less than half full.

Good, it appears that many others have experienced this too.  I think all machines have their resonating frequencies.

My perfectly built Honda Civic vibrates a little when I maintain speed somewhere between 23-28 mph.

Hmm, maybe fuel has something to do....I've gone 154 miles so far on this tank.  However, I ought to have enough to do 250 miles per tank.

Make sure your fuel selector is in the ON position, we don't want you to accidentally run completely out of gas.

Sounds about right...I usually fill up at 200 to 220 miles myself..pushing my bike dose not sound fun.  Plus sometimes I fill to the max capacity and sometimes it is just a splash and go.  Had to switch to reserve out in the boonies once and was not real firmilar with the area :o   Anyhoo done rambling

I've experienced a "buzz" that starts at about 4900 RPM's through to about 6000 that renders the mirrors essentially unusable.  Above this band the mirrors clear up.

I've never noticed a relationship with this and fuel.

That sounds about right...

I think most GS500s vib for a few hundred RPMs around 5000.

that vibration indicates that you are no longer a boy, and have become a real man.

What can that mean?  I only have 400 miles riding experience.  I have yet to get the first service.
