Because my truck just took a major crap on me and the oil pump went out.  Luckily I finished the bike up this past weekend.  Only negative is that I have to have the motorcycle safety course before I can ride on base which is where I work so still kinda stuck out...  Anyways.  If anyone has a spare left side mirror I need one.  Or if anyone wants to come to Jacksonville and change my oil pump that would also be great... :thumb:

pay me for travel and provide any tools i need and i will do it. lol. not that its worth the my travel expenses to get it done. you could easily go to a dealership for that.  ;)

1997 f150 with 4.2L V6.  truck hasn't given me any problems up until now.  I was just driving to the store to get some beer with my wife and clunk, no oil pressure.  So i shut it off and coasted to a gas station where it's sitting at right now waiting to be towed to the shop..  I don't have the resources to fix it myself here.  If I was back home then yeah but im kinda forced to pay to fix it now.  grrr..

Could it be hydrolock?  The pre-99 v6 f150's were notorious for it..  see more info below:

yeah I read alot about that last night and im glad that it's not that.  The engine was still running after the pressure dropped and allthough it sounded like crap it did not have the ever so horrid sound of a blown or locked motor.  I think the pump just went out.  Im just hoping it didn't fry the motor during the few moments it ran with no pressure.

you dont have a jack and a block of wood?  or someone with a chain fall, engine hoist?  you dont even have to pull the engine out, just lift it enough to clear the pan.
