I e-mailed srinath about this, but I guess I got an old address. Anyhow, I've got a leaky gasket on my shift lever. The image is kinda big, so I'll just link to it http://www.lauricha.com/images/100_0886.jpg but that gasket has slid right out. Should I just shove it back in and hope it stays? RVT? There looks to be a little notch for a C-clip or something, is one supposed to go there?

A quick look at the parts fiche tells me there isn;t any c clip etc holding it in.

I'd clean the area, and push it back in.
If it comes out again then try using a little rtv to stick it in place.

Pull the shift lever off (if you haven't already).  Remove and replace the seal.  You can use a deep socket that fits the outside diameter of the new seal to drive it home.  Make sure to lube the outside of the seal with a little engine oil.

Also, wrap the splines on the shifter shaft with a piece of overhead transparency film, drafting mylar, or similar before sliding the seal over.  This will protect the lip from damage.  Lube the mylar with engine oil.  

Thanks for the quick response, for now I'll be lazy and just clean it and shove it back in. But if it pops out again, I'll fix it.

clean it really good with spray Brake cleaner then put alittle RTV sealer on outside edge,(i do mean alittle) then push it back in place.
