Any pics without the bag on it?

NightRyder

That's cool. Yes, pics w/o the bag! I wanna see more. What did you attach it to?

Not yet but I will when I get time. This is something I did so I can buy groceries.

Right now it is just a few pieces of stainless steel bolted together. Like I said 'beta'. I will weld the final unit, and probably have saddle bag mounts.

It is mounted off the grab bar mount. Comes up to a sisssy bar. Then two rods come out the back and connect. The bag is simirigid, and triangulates the whole thing.

Oh, sohchonda is a very tech oriented site that we have been working on since the '90's.

I don't know...  Not to rain on your parade, but it looks like it's sticking off the back of the bike quite a bit.  Maybe a good 1.5 feet?

It could be the angle of the picture though...  It might not be stick out as much as I think.  Pics without the bag will help. :thumb:

I like 'em big.   :icon_mrgreen:

I think my next purchase is going to be the Webber Grill attachment.

Yes it does stick off the back a bit. It is more of a functional mod than asthetic.

I made a rack for my 97 GS out of aluminum angle and screwed it together with stainless screws and nuts.  It's attached completely to the passanger grab handle and can be removed by unbolting the 2 handle bolts.  Has held together great over many years and tens of thousands of miles:

When I picked up the 02 GS I wanted to add a Givi case and considered the Givi rack for it but didn't like how far up and back the bag was placed by the Give rack.  So I bought a Suzuki  factory rack and mounted the Givi to it using the mounting base that came with the Givi case.  Mounted the case as close and low as possible:

When the cross member where the rack mounted showed some cracking, I added the aluminum angle braces shown.  Been solid as a rock since.

That Givi setup is pretty slick Jack...  I wonder if I could adjust mine a little...  Hmm...
