Hello Out there!  I have a question,  I want to do a little make over of my always reliable 92 GS500.  Does anyone know if more modern body work from an 04 model would bolt on?  I'd be mostly interested in the Tank, and side/rear section.

Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks Guy!   I'm stuck on super slow internet at the moment.  I was just looking for  a helping hand.  Thanks anyway!

Brackets (side mounts and a front stay) would have to be added for the front fairing. The rear plastic would need some different tabs at the seat latch to be mounted. The tank will bolt directly on. A new seat would be needed as well.
Common sense in not very common.

I finally took off my side fairings for haha's and I noticed that the brackets kinda hook into the frame.  I'm asuming that these holes for the tabs and screws need to be made on the order gs's

Dgyver pretty much has it covered with his reply.

If you are near a Suz dealer with a shop, you may be able to sweet talk the mechanic into letting you look at one naked on a rack. If you are really lucky, you can take a camera and make some pics for ideas.

I think Srinath did some modding like this and ended up welding some mount points. A past member Roadstergal was contemplating updating a similar bike, but gave up also.

Another thought is catching an 04 frame on eBay. I've seen several offered pretty cheap. The down side is registration/title issues.
