hm..I eat at subway once every week or so. I usually just get it "to go" on my lunch break though. I'll have to stick around and sniff myself to see. And if I can't tell, I'll ask others to sniff me too.

I prefer Quiznos over Subway any day.  Prices aren't that different either.  Have you tried the bread bowls?  I am hooked!

Oh yeah man, definitely. Subway has its perks though. For example, a HELLUVA lot of locations. I think there are only 4 Jimmy John's in all of Austin, and at least one of them is way the f%$k out there away from anything else. Thankfully there's one here by campus, though! Subway, however, has about 60 locations in Austin.

4:60. For every one Jimmy John's location there are 15 Subway locations to match. Sure Subway isn't as good, but it's better than a lot of stuff, too.

Oh yeah, I too notice that you smell like Subway even after you leave the store. wtf?

Ride as fast as you can, that way you stay ahead of all the accidents!

Yes, but there's also the issue of convenience. Distance of travel and effort required to get there. Sometimes that pays big time.

I agree about Jimmy Johns.  I love it.  There is a place called Planet Sub that is even better.

I have been complaining about the Subway smell for about a year now.  I thought it was just me.  I HATE how my clothes smell after eating in a Subway.  Can you imagine if you worked there?  It is so bad, that if I have a meeting after lunch, I won't go to eat there on that day.

Nice call!

see - i knew i wasn't crazy!

How do places that have kitchens full of grease, deep fryers, etc etc. not smell, and then subway absolutely reaks. All they have is coldcuts, bread, and vegetables.

Maybe i'll inquire @ subway offices or something and find out exactly what's with the subway stench..  :2guns:

I think it's because they bake the bread right there up front, so all the herbs and spices intermingle and stuff and just linger in the air forever. The smell IS a bit yeasty.

Ok, I went to Subway today for lunch. Afterwards, I gave myself a thorough sniffing over  8) and found no odorous remnants.
