QuoteIf you're having trouble printing the suzuki "S" maybe get "GS" or something, that would look cool too.

That's what I was thinking too. If worst comes to worse and I absolutely can not print the "S" I was thinking about going for something like "GS500" or "GS"

...yeah....I'd hate to be out too....but I just can't see putting GS or GS500 labels on my SV....course....if you get something made up with SV on it that's a whole 'nother story....might even be able to get a few folks from the SV sites in on that....
PETE: It's four in the funking morning!

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

are you sure that the sv650 has the same sized crank case inserts? will they fit? I'm still not sure about the "S" or "GS" or what its going to be in the end. stil working on it...

...SV doesn't have crank case inserts....just flat sides....these would look fine....though maybe a bit small....

bsd,

This is where I ordered it for my car and then ask if they could do a batch for GSTwin.

http://www.autotrimdesign.net/detail.jsp?itemId=11774&category=9544

They actually designed and incorporated the Suzuki 'S' logo for me and sent me a few picture samples of different colors with the CF background. These are cool because they are 'domed' shape which means the sticker is raised and not flat. All I did was measured the old suzuki sticker diameter on the crankcase and took another diameter measurement of the crankcase indentation without the sticker to make sure that they were close and sent that measurement to them for the sticker size.

I don't remember the contact's name but only his email since it's been a while but you can just email, jmthienel@autotrimdesign.com, ask him. He's in charge of product info and can give you prices, etc. You can refer to my other sticker thread to make sure that they don't overprice you on groupdeals. He might even have the old template so you don't have to design your own. I don't anything about printing cf stuff but I would be afraid that it would fade, streak, etc with the weather. The product we got from these guys was not real cf but it is top notch quality. I've ridden my bike thru snow, rain and mud the sticker adhesive is still strong and there is no sign of fading or tear at all.

I still have a pair of purple and two pairs of lime green for sale if anyone wants a pair.

We wanted yellow ones and the first batch came out lime green so they gave me those for free.

Hope that helps and if you have anymore questions, I'll be around. Now someone buy my fender and these dang ugly purple and lime stickers.

Ok, input it is.  This is the first time I've been remotely tempted.  Very nice looking indeed- might have to consider it.

The thing is, the whole idea of fake carbon puts me off. I hate fake... well... anything.  And it's just sooo trendy right now, it's hard to imagine that it won't look dated and silly a few years down the road.

Still, that's a very classy graphic.  Mumble...

Well they can do real carbon fiber too, but the difference in price would most likely eliminate more than half of the people who are interested in these. Think about it. Would you buy a piece of cf sticker when for the same price you could get a nice used set of
rear pegs for you GS. Something in that line.

Well I'm glad I impressed you. If you want a set, let me know and I'll put your name down. Like I said before, I'm only going to be doing this once. So if you think you might want a set in the future, I suggest buying a set now.
Just because you have them, doesn't mean you have to use them. It's better than kicking your self later on when you can't get a set and want a one.
And if later on you don't want them, then you can sell them to some other GS'er who needs a set.

No pressure, just sharing my thoughts.

Alright, I need a little help here. I need a few people; (some E's and some F's) to measure the space were the sticker will fit into. I want to make sure these are all the same. I don't have my bike at my house so I can't measure them myself. Also if someone has a pair of stickers around (seamax comes to mind) could they pleas take a measurement of them so I can get a good idea of the size they need to be. This is a diameter measurement I'm looking for. Like I said, I'd like to get a couple of measurements from different people, so please help out.

I just ran outside in the freezing cold weather without a coat.   :cookoo:

By the time I got back to my laptop, it's either 3 1/4" or 3 1/8".  I really think I measured 3 1/4".

I also noticed for the first time that the case cover is NOT a flat surface on the '04f...  This being the case, I am sorry to say that I will not be purchasing a set of these stickers.  Sorry dude.

Yes it's not flat, so what? You're not going to notice that when the stickers on and the sticker will flex and conform to the curved surface. I'm confident that these will work and stay on because I'm going to use the same manufacturer that was used for the last batch. And the people who had a set from the last batch have had no problems with staying on or fading, and from the pics I've seen, and they look really good mounted. But it's up to you in the end, just let me know if you want your name off the list for sure. I will only be ordering enough for the people on the list, so if you decide you want a set afterwards, it'll be too late and you will have missed your chance. Just something to think about.
Thanks for the measurement, but I need to know for sure. I can't be guessing when it comes to this. Don't worry about measuring it again if it's a hassle, I'm sure other people will be able to help me out.

I don't see anything worth fighting over in that post. Did I come off rude? Didn't mean to.... that's the problem with the internet, its so impersonal. How someone says something has so much to do with its meaning.
Say for instance a text message from a loved one that says "we need to talk"
It could mean "we need to talk and break up" or "we need to talk, I have some fantastic news"

I'm also probably a little sour due to bike with drawls, as someone else mentioned.

yes it was sort of rude and on the interent u must talk like a computer or something non emotional.
