went in to look at the 2005 GS that ive been looking at for about a month now but it had a sold sticker on it...i was pretty disappointed

then i went to look around and found a new 2006 GS in blue and knew it was it.  the 06 blue looks so damn much better than the 05 i knew the search was over.

got the usual "msrp is $5150 + everything else so you're looking at around $6000 altogether."   i said "well, if i can get it for $5150 out the door i'll take it today" so he came back with $5200 out the door price so i figured it wouldnt get much better than that being brand new so i took it.

i know they made their money on it, im not trying to say i was ripped off or anything like that, just telling the story as i remember it.

couldnt sleep last night so im dead tired now but it was worth it.  i'll go pick it up on Saturday so my girl can be with me since she wants too...damn it was a good day.

congrats!
i still like the 05 blue
2005 GS500F..Lovin' IT!

I like the '04/'05 blue a lot better, actually. The '06 blue is dark and nicely metallic, but it just doesn't SHINE like the others do. Reminds me of the '01 E models. Not bad though. I like the black overlay on the top of the fairing (where it folds over and touches the frame).

yes, this is my first bike.  i like the black/white bike a lot also but it seems there is just too much white for my taste, thats why i went with the blue.

looks good, can I have it?

So what exactly did you not like about the black one?  I have not seen it in person yet, but it was the color that i was going to get to replace the *stolen* black/red/silver 05.

You said too much white...hmmm...

The white fairing treatment is great!!  Should show well at night -- safer than dark blue.  Well done.

Since you've got it in the living room, remember that they make nice Christmas trees!

On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

Nah, he said it was in the dining room.  The living room is where the blue BMW must be.

I wish I could pamper my baby like that, right next to the heater all winter long...  Instead, I have to lock her outside in the freezing cold, through the snow and ice storms.
