I am looking for tires and wondering if anyone could post pictures of the front and rear tire if you have Pirelli Sport demons. I just want to see how they look on the GS.

Cheers

Thanks for the pics guys!

Is it me or does the Sport demon have more tread depth in the rear than a Battlax BT45?

I don't have any good shots of the rear...  :(  And I didn't ride in today...   :(

But, here's a (crappy) far away shot of the both:

If you want a better shot of the rear, I can see about taking one.   :thumb:

They are about the same, the rear BT45s all have 9/32 tread depth except the OEM BT45 for the GS500F which only has 8/32 depth.

Some of the rear Demons have 7.0 mm depth, some including the 130/70/17 have a 6.7 depth, and a few have 6.5 mm depth.

7 mm = .276"
6.7 mm = .264"
6.5 mm = .256"

9/32=.281
8/32=.250

Hi  ;)
Here you can see a rear demon (on the left) and an old michelin (don't ask me the model.... )

And here is the front one

By the way, Pirellis are so good in my opinion. I love Demons, I enjoy more my bike now that I put them on.

Alpha...
are those the stock sizes on your bike.
I am debating between a 140/70 17 and a 130/70 17.
thanks.

Yup, stock sizes indeed. 130/70 rear and the 110/70 front. D'ya want a shot from the rear so you can see a more comparative size?

Previously when I bought a rear tire, I went for a 140/80-17...but it's a bit higher than I thought, this time, I wanted to go with a tire that's closer to stock...but I do like the idea of a bit wider contact patch....
on that note, what would the main difference be from 140/70-17 to 130/70-17?
