So, last night I was moving equipment for a show...  As per normal, we tore everything down and hustled it out the door as fast as possible...  Well, I went snowboarding on Sunday so I was pretty tired, weak, and sore.  On top of that we have to move all our gear down a dark flight of stairs ('cause the land-lord doesn't seem to replace light bulbs).

I was carrying my 8x10 speaker cabinet down the stairs with the singer...  I thought I reached the last step but hadn't...  And BAM!!  In under a second I was sprawled out on the stairs with my speaker cab crushing me...  Totally wrecked my ankle and got all banged up.

The good news is I didn't break anything and was still able to play the show (after 5 beers)...  The bad news is that I screwed up a ligament in my grapefruit sized ankle...  The Doc it'll take 6-8 weeks to heal, but I should be relatively pain free in about a week.  And the weather chooses NOW to be sunny.

The other bad news is that the fall over-stressed one of my 25-year-old speakers and the magnet came off...  DAMN!


Well, it could have been WAY worse...  At least the doc said I could ride in a few weeks and snowboard a few weeks later (with a brace).

Glad you're not seriously hurt (physically anyway...  Your brains probably gonna be screaming "let me out" in a couple days of not being able to ride  )

Personally i think it was the Superbowl gods having a little fun with him since he didnt watch the game and went snowboarding instead!!! LOL J/K  Sorry about the speaker attacking u man!!!
