Rejet, and re-pipe.  What is the best way to do this?  I'd like to do it myself.

Its gonna be a few months before I buy my new bike, so i decided i would give it a try.

Stage 1/2/3 rejets, whats the difference?  I have regeared down to a 14 tooth front sprocket, but I am still craving more performance!  And I want a deep and throaty twin sound!
I would prefer not to spend more than about $300 on the whole process, and I can do the work myself(except welding, i have no experience there).

Any ideas?

for under $300 you could go the route i did, that being V&H SS from www.discountcycleparts.com ($270 shipped to US) and get jets from your local dealership/parts shop (15.99 - pilots, 9.99 - mid and mains all of which come in packs of 4) after that, just find a friend with a free afternoon and a wealth of engine knowledge i do not posess.  If that doesn't work for you, there's always some sketchy stuff available on ebay.  Enjoy!!!   END

good. really good sounding. deep, loud and throaty but these terms are subjective...the exhaust will cost you $275 or so and a jet KIT will run you $100. You dont NEED a jet KIT though, just the pilots, mains and washers for the needles. see the FAQ section for details or my site...
