2006 Hayabusa Limited

It is VERY clear that my GS throttle hand needs some vocational rehab as this bike is faster at 2,500 rpm in 6th gear than my GS is in any of it's gears..

I got a SMOKIN deal on it.  3 miles on the odometer and it's all mine!

Yes, my local Suz dealer has that one and the blue one. I look at it and just shake my head. Too much bike for me, for now...maybe for a looong now.

I am happy for you, please be careful and still love your GS. Otherwise your Suzuki family will be in conflict.

Heh! A busa goes faster in 2nd gear than a GS can in 6th!

Just wait until you pay that first insurance premium before you think you got such a good deal.  :o

DEFINITELY I am being careful.  The throttle response is amazing after coming off a carbed 500 twin.  My wife and I took it for a ride today and I am very impressed.  We've taken all day rides on the GS but this is completely different.  No wiggle-wiggle ever, it's just rock solid.  Roll-on in 6th gear from 65 to just over the ton with both of us on it takes about 2, maybe 3 seconds and it just yawns at me.

I haven't gotten it above about 4,500 yet and don't plan to for a while.  Eventually I will take it to the salt flats but I am guessing I'll need at least 6 months of "settling in" before I have the cajones to really open it up.

I keep looking at the GS...  I can't bear the thought of...  "you know"....

I may save it for my son or just for drag racing.  I don't think I'll ever be Tarzan enough to drag launch the Busa.  And I've beaten a Busa bracket racing on my GS so...  :icon_mrgreen:

Congrats on the find.  I don't mean at all to be insulting, but I could never own a 'busa.  Not 'cause I'm afraid of them.   I just think they're ugly...like a Kat on steroids.  But if you think it's cool, then have fun and BE SAFE!

Cool!
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!

I like how they look. not as much as some other bikes. but I think if I owned one, I'd turn it into a streetfighter.

I'm deliberating on whether those guys should be shot, or if we should just let natural selection take its course.  I was almost impressed until they took it into the public roadways.  What I want to know is if that digital readout is the speedometer, or it's the turbo boost and there's a decimal that I can't see.

That is most def the speedometer in KPH.  They are flirting with 300 KPH (~180 MPH) on main roads.  I think that they should be shot, but hell maybe that is legal where they are riding but i doubt it.

Ah, kph.  Well, that's a bit better than mph, but it's still quite excessive.  I like how they're wearing full gear, like it's going to help.  Maybe it's to keep their skin from blowing off?

hahahahah - I did like Wayne's World :)  But it's a Pinto.  It's not blown (yet).  The intake is a high-rise affair so I needed the hood clearance and made it into ram air.  The motor is a V8 with 10.25:1 compression and nitroused, built by me!  I love it!

Now I've got a quarter miler (the Pinto) and a dry lakes ride (the Busa).

I keep looking around thinking that it can't be me..hahahaha.now if I can ever get this stupid grin off my face.

Why not make the 'Busa your quarter miler? It can run 9.6s stock. STOCK. That's downright frightening. Now imagine with a turbo and NO2.
