It is VERY clear that my GS throttle hand needs some vocational rehab as this bike is faster at 2,500 rpm in 6th gear than my GS is in any of it's gears..  I got a SMOKIN deal on it.  3 miles on the odometer and it's all mine!

Where's that drooly emoticon??? What a beauty!! Congratz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :icon_mrgreen: :thumb:

Invest about $15,000 in a turbo kit for the 'Busa.  You can make a scary riliable 400 hp.

Then again, it has a warranty now, right?  Nah.

I love it dude!

I happened to be re-up'ing any with Progressive, so I ran the numbers if I were replacing my '01 GS500 with your '06 'Busa.  Double Yikes!!

With the same coverage options my coverage would sustain $898.00 increase.  :o  Downright vindictive.

Kinda glad your 'Busa didn't follow me home...

Yeah, the insurance is frightening - especially with my "colorful" driving history.     It's not financed though so I don't have to carry full coverage if I don't want.

Tonight my son showed the first signs of interest in the GS - I was telling him we could take the MSF course and then do a track day together and he perked up..  Might have a second generation GS'er on my hands which makes me feel a lot better - I've had my GS for 15 years.  We'll see.

when I first read the title I thought of this:

Oklahoma Highway Patrol now using Busa's. (no, the patrol officer in the background with shorts on isnt the rider).

slick!  If I ever decide to get more into a sport-touring enviroment I'll be looking for a Hayabusa myself.  Excellent bikes...too bad they're an I4, though...

Whacky.  If I got pulled over by that, I don't know if I'd believe it.  Probably wait for a real cop to show up. :)

nice bike!
I am too not a big fan of the busa's looks, id go for the gsxr1000 instead. but to each there own ;)

theres an 06' Busa at my local Suzuki that i just might take it out for a test drive this season.

Congrats on the new bike.  I've been toying with the idea of buying a sportbike myself, but it seems everytime I throw a leg overone a little devil appears on my left shoulder.  I'm not sure if I would end up dead or in jail, but I'm sure it would be one or the other.  Hence the reason I haven't, and probably wont, purchase one.

^^ The color and the Carolina jersey ruin it.

How much does a Busa weigh? They look like they're packing quite a few pounds.

I think that's why I've heard that people who have ridden a GSXR1100 and a Hayabusa say the Hayabusa was fun but the 1100 scared the shaZam! out of them.

I don't get it.  The Bus already has a wheelbase comparable to a Harley, making its cornering less than spectacular.  Why would you want to do something like that and make it handle like a dog?  I guess it's the same reason you want outrageous rake angles on a chopper: 'cause it looks cool! :icon_rolleyes:

By the way, that guy needs to do something about those man-boobs.  I noticed his before the women on the bike!
Sorry, I won't answer motorcycle questions anymore.  I'm not f%$king friendly enough for this board.  Ask me at:

When it comes to the 1100, it fast and handles well. Some crazy brits like to stuff the 1100 motor into the 750 chassis because it's 1.5 inches shorter and 7 pounds lighter.   Busa... heavy, powerful, and comfy. That's a good mix.
