I searched and couldn't find anything, so...

Do Pirelli Sport Demons have wear bars? I looked at mine the other day and couldn't see any. I was confused. What happened to them? Did they ever exist?

You know, now that you mention it, I don't remember seeing any.  I'll run out to the bike at lunch and check.

Yeah! It's so weird! I told my dad that I didn't think my tires had wear bars, and he said, "What? That's impossible! Let me look!" So he gets down and looks at the tires, spins them around for a few rotations and says, "You know, I don't think these tires have wear bars!"

I thought that same thing when my Avons were new, but I found them (not there yet).
Take a toothpick and trace it through the sipes; maybe look at it from the side, when you feel the slight rise, or notice the toothpick riding higher in the sipe...
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Good tip.  I just looked and found 3 bars, all just off-center to the left in the sipe running in this direction: /.  They appeared to be randomly placed (around the circumference of the tire).

It was a good reminder to get out and even up the treadwear.  My occasional corner-carving exploits can't compete against the daily commute on slab.  Oh well, they're still great tires.

Did that too. Didn't notice any rise. It was weird. I've got pretty good eyes, you'd think I'd be able to see them.

Awesome. I'll go look for mine.

I wish I could do more corner carving as well, but getting around on the highway in the city is what I do the most. Stinks. Makes me wish I got to commute in North Carolina along US129 (The Dragon).

Screw the wear bars...  When the round shape is gone, you need new tires. :thumb:
