Yes.  If you have a magnet you can use it to get the shims out of there.  I don't completely remember what was required, maybe using a screwdriver to get the bucket out of the way?? But be careful, it's very easy to scratch just about anything when you stick a screwdriver in there.  Valve tool is the best, easiest way to do things

I have used flat head screw drivers and allen keys (the L-shaped ones) sucessfully.  You have to get the right size either way though, so have a variety of sizes handy.  I think the head is aluminum, so try not to gouge anything.  Another option is to remove the cams, but I never tried that since it seems so much work and there is the extra concern of getting the timing right after that.

Which ever method you choose, the first thing to do is to stuff a rag in the cam chain hole so you don't drop anything in there.  Also, don't bend the valves like this idiot here.

I also ordered from JC Whitney first.  Afer waiting two weeks I found it on Ebay and order there.  JC Whitney was telling me they would have them in mid March and would ship then.  Glad I cancelled the order through them, sounds like they are shoveling a bunch of  ...

Yeah, they charged me $27.31 after it was all said and done.  They did send it in a box though. 

If you can get it on ebay like flyingbeagle71, then that'd be the way to go.  It's still cheaper than the $35 from a motorcycle store or $100 for the Suzuki part.
