face shields and uv protection

I bought an HJC helmet, and then bought a tinted face shield. The salesman told me it had 100% UV protection, but I don't see any documentation on the package, or on the HJC website that says anything about UV protection. My family has a history of cataracts, so this is a concern to me. Does anybody know if the HJC face shields provide UV protection? Or should I try wearing sunglasses underneath my untinted face shield?

Thanks.

It's better to wear sunglasses under a clear visor anyway. If you have a tinted visor and it starts raining, or you decide to stay somewhere until after dark, theres nothing you can do. You can always take your sunglasses off.

My new HJC had a UV protection thinge written on a static cling info thing on the visor.

Anyway I wear my glasses under neath, and I got transistion lenses, so it darkens when UV is near by.
