I know this topic has pretty much been beaten to the ground, but does anyone have some pics of their SM2 Bars on the   F    model? I was hoping for some various angles; like saddle-view, side view, and the front of the bike. I'm serious about getting them, but I'm really curious as to how the bike will look oberall with them installed. thanks for the help!  :kiss3:

they will look good and you sill live em!

One of the really good things about em is you can really lay down on your tank when your on it!

Look at this thread that tdan put up.  He used Srinath knock off bars, which are the same as the SM2's.  This is a good thread and I should get a lot of credit for being such a nice guy.  I'm a good man.  And now you know this.  Now everyone knows this.

What is the manufacturer's site? I can't seem to find anything on Google under "SM2 handlebars" or similar searches... :dunno_white:

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I'm going to have a Srinath bar for sale soon. They're black.

what do the sm bars run for anyway, i got bumped in the rear by a car a couple days ago and went down.  It bent my new handlebars slightly.  It hasn't been a good 2 months for handlebars but luckily i didn't get hit full force.

edit: it was more than a couple days agin and it cracked my right fairing a little too

Any body gotta pic of what the Clubmans look like on the gs.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

Since this looks like one of the definitive SM2 bar threads, I'll post my pics here.

Stock bars on my 2004:

You can see the SM bars on the floor, and the wierd thing on the throttle grip is a throttle lock.
Feel free to mock my half-removed warning stickers.  The rest will be gone this weekend.

Stockers with the SM2s for comparo:

Yeah, those yellow grips were a poor choice, switched to grey.

SM2s installed with the stockers held up.  The white paint is my, um, grip glue.  To install the new bars, we actually drilled a hole to move the master cylinder out so it dosen't hit the tach housing.  Still not enough real estate on here for my old throttle lock. Boo.

These bars are a work of art.  Pretty welds.  Feels like a new bike.

I've got some "after" shots of riding position, and I'm sure someone else could provide the "before" if necessary.

I looked back in the thread and didn't see anyone else with caseguards (all F models), so I guess you're talkin' to me. I got mine from TwistedThrottle.com. You can get factory ones off eBay occasionally.
