These are definitely more attractive than the others, but how is coverage? Are the high enough to provide good protection?

Well over the ankles, about mid shin on me (I wear 13's, 32 inch inseam).  I would say higher than high top basketball shoes. Supposedly it has malleoleus armor in it, but it is not a hard gp style armor.

Sidis are the only boot that will go with the Hein Gericke leather pants.  Or, A*'s, Daytonas...  Don't half-ass it.

sheesh. i guess i'll keep on lookin.  maybe i'll have to buy 2. one for leathers and one for jeans..
