1. 3 speeding tickets, all within 1st year I got my license, since then I have smartened up and have a clean record.
2. No tickets for the bike, it's fun at all speeds I don't want to hurry anywhere to get off it.
3. I would never think to outrun the cops, the risk/reward doesn't seem worth it, and even if I got away I'd be paranoid they'd still find me.

skoozi12

1.  My last ticket was maybe 8 months ago.  He clocked me at 48 in a 30, gave me 5 over with a happy little I (Impeding).  I didn't even have to go to court.  Just paid the 105 dollar fine and went on my merry way.  The only points that I have are from a 15 over ticket on the Ohio Turnpike, I even went down to Bowling Green to fight it and nothing.  Ohio sucks to me now, period.  Damn cops.

2.  No motto tix

3.  Hahaha, I've never done it but I was my ex's car when he decided to run.  I told him that if he didn't pull his happy ass over right then and there, I was gonna call the cops and tell them where he lived and where we were.  He didn't.  So I did.  I'm not going to get hurt or killed because he doesn't want a ticket...*yep I was a baaaaaaaaaad girlfriend...hahahahaha :icon_twisted:*

1. Speeding got clocked at 105 in a 75

2. none

3.  none but they did try to cite me for evading because of my speed in 1 above.

1. Got a ticket for 76 in a 55 coming over the Bay Bridge in 2001.  I thought the limit was 65, but that section of the road didn't start for another few miles (there were other people driving faster than I was, too.  Not sure why the cop singled me out :dunno_white:).  Went to court and got the fine reduced to $75 and no points.

2. Haven't had much of a chance yet...I've only ridden last weekend.  I don't see myself getting any anyway.

3. Nope, not worth it.

1. 80 in a 65. Three days ago. Grrr. (I had been good for a long time too!)
2. None so far.
3. I ran once, but it can barely be considered running. It was night, and I was just about done with a set of blind corners and the officer was going in. I came out, parked about 50 yards off, and shut off my lights. He had to go the whole way through before he could turn safely. I don't even think it was a conscious decision, I did it so quick.

!.  Last auto citation, and for what?  "failure to obey a highway sign...last year sometime"
2. Last bike citation, and why?  "just got my bike last month...nothing yet"
3. Have you ever "run", and the outcome?  "ran one time, soon as i saw lights i ducked down a side street and made a circle back to the main road."

1.  Speeding ticket...  37 in a 25...  Oh wait...  No...  I got one since then...  85 in a 50 (but, in my defense the speed limit just changed from 70 to 50 and I just passed 4 cars...  Plus the cop didn't catch me doing 110 on the wrong side of the road.  :o )

2. Never been pulled over on a bike.

3. I have run...  But, on foot when I was 15...  I got away twice out of five or so tries.  :thumb:

OK...  If "ditching" counts as running...  I can't even count how many times I've ditched a cop and not been caught or ticketed.  One time a cop caught up to me after I was out of the car...  He jumped out of his car and asked for my papers...  I looked at my locked car and said they were inside...  He said, "Well, I just wanted to make sure you weren't hitting the sauce." It was like 4:30 pm...  I had just come from the gym so I said, "Nope!  Just hitting the iron." and made a bench-pressing motion...    He got in his car and drove away.

Then...  If you want to count getting pulled over without getting a ticket...  Well, we'll be here for weeks. :nono:

1a) parking tickets, lots of them.
1b) running red light, actually was caught on yellow light triggered camera.-traffic school.
2) speeding, 71 in a 50 (on a stretch of road I usually do 120 on!), fought it but lost. traffic school.
3) its not considered running if they dont light you up.

3. Have you ever "run", and the outcome?  once you cross state lines, it didn't happen.

the left side of the bike is always from the riders point of view.

1.  Last one was 72 in a 55 in my 97 Mustang.  A minivan had just blown by me, but my car looked faster.  It had racing stripes, but the V6 was pitiful.  Didn't get another ticket for a year, so no points.
Before that, I got an unsafe start ticked for spinning my camaro's (V8) tires in a GRAVEL lot as I pulled out.  It wasn't dramatic, just your normal insufficient traction type thing.  As a matter of fact, the cop was on foot, and walked out in front of me to stop me.  I was going maybe 15.  Jerk.
A few weeks later, I got a warning for the same thing.  I had just put a new 650 Holley Carb on, and I was test driving.  I started from a light, then floored it to see if the secondaries were dialed in.   Boom...on come lights.  I told the cop what was up, and he advised me to go to a parking lot to test it out.  Nice guy.

2.  None

3.  Blew by a plain wrapper going the same direction as me.  I was in the right lane and he was in the left.  I saw him just as I was flying by him on the right.  I immediatley slammed on the brakes and hit a side road exiting the highway.  He hadn't flipped on the lights yet, but as I turned off, he was hitting his brakes.  I doubled back in a hurry.  I turned right on another road just in time to see his headlights rounding the bend about 3/4 a mile back.  I got back to the highway, and resumed my journey more slowly.  I wouldn't do that again.  I guess it technically wasn't 'running', but it still had my heart racing.   :nono:
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!

1. Back in October I got a ticket for going 84 in a 70 as well as being in the left lane when I wasn't supposed to be (for passing only, apparently. Total BS! I was speeding! I was passing people a mile ahead of me! It isn't like people were passing me on the left... I was speeding!). I was just driving down the interstate trying to get back home from cornerworking at a race track up in Dallas. Pulled over immediately, but the cop was still a duck to me. I've gotten 2 warnings now, one was for going 70 in a 70 (yeah, I got a warning for going the speed limit), which would have been a ticket had I not asked to see the gun he supposedly clocked me with. Got another warning for going 40 in a 30 in a State Park 2 days ago. Cop was cool enough to give me a warning rather than a ticket because I told him I had to reach into the glove box to get my insurance information. He told me had I just reached in and grabbed it he probably would have given me a ticket, but since I was not being an idiot he was kind enough to let me off.

2. Parking ticket on campus, $25. Last semester some time.

3. Never ran nor ducked away from the cops. It isn't worth it to run.

What is the deal with all the old threads popping up?  Not that it's bad...

1. Racing my lowered '75 Chevy 1/2 ton (slightly built 454, .060 over, decent intake/exhaust setup on it.  63 in a 35.  Had 3 people in the truck, nobody with seatbelts on.  Finally figured out that driving on the streets like that is not such a good idea.  Paid the ticket, stopped driving like that.
2.  4 warnings, no tickets.
3. Yes, with and without lights on.

Eh......OK.....

1) one week after getting car licence did 40 in 30 mph zone got ~60$ ticket

2)never got anything

3) Run from MP in army service , was driving a soft top truck , was wearing army type helmet which feels like a ton on your head
after couple of hours , was very hot , was going about 60mph in a 60 zone , MP with a radar signaled me to stop as my truck was allowed only 40mph on
the highway , I didn't "notice" him , changed to left lane and was going 75mph (the fastest it could go) , thought they weren't allowed to give chase , but they did , only ended up with a speeding ticket .  That was fun  :cookoo:

1) 4-5 years ago I got a 82 in a 70 (car). Total car tickets is prolly close to 20 or so. This in 20 years of driving. Mostly speeding. Never unsafe, just enough to cause notice.

2) riding (moving actually) from MS to FL (700 miles) I got a warning for no tag. the LEO was nice enough, understood I'd be careful as my wife was following and 8 months pregnant.

3) Never on the bike. When I was young I dropped the roll-down doors on carwashes several times. Oh, and those lazy "Y" turn offs on country roads are good for a slip.

I always got away, and will not run again. I have never sidestepped the cops on the bike. Paying attention to the rear instead of the front on a bike is not smart. ;)
