I'm getting ready to replace the valve cover gasket on my bike.  I cannot find my Hayne's manual anywhere!  Does anyone have the cylinder head and valve cover torqes and patterns?  I was also looking for the proper valve clearnces while I was in there.  Thanks for your time.

From my Haynes Manual (pg 2.4)

Cylinder Head 10mm domed nuts --- 35 to 40 Nm
Cylinder Head 6mm bolt --- 8 to 12 Nm
Valve Cover bolts --- 13 to 15 Nm

Cylinder Head Nut tightening pattern:

8 ----------2----4----------6
7 ----------3----1----------5
------FRONT OF ENGINE----

The valve clearance chart is too detailed to type. Perhaps you might try a search on the subject. You will have to measure the condition prior to needing the chart.

I hope that helps.  :)
