so i am clueless, but would rather learn by doing...  what are these two brass plugs on my '02 gs500 carbs?

any help is appreciated!

Number one is blocking off the air/fuel mix screw, and number two is, well, I dunno.

Yes, #1 needs to be drilled/removed to adjust the mixture screw.  I'm not sure what #2 is but you should leave that one alone.

No.2 is an overflow to emission control equipment on California models.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.
