I need 2 or 3 people to test the rebuilt gallery.

All the old stuff has been imported

It uses your board user/pass

I need IE6 and firefox users to log in and out of each board.  Integration isn't quite as smooth as with phpbb and I have had a couple weird things happen with firefox -such as being totallty unable to log out of the board.

The bugs may just be for me.  They aren't a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned but I'd like to see what others say before I open the gallery up.

Reply here -I'll PM the linky.

I never said the WOF link was fixed.  The gallery is in a new *secret* folder till I know it works.

Do you want to help test or not?

When I log in it just redirects me to the board. I don't even see a place to upload.

Well this is what I find:

IE6 works properly.  I can click "log out" in the gallery and it redirects me to the board and if I ignore the error message and click the logout button I get redirected back to the gallery logged out.

Firefox:  I log out in gallery -same error but when I logout I either don't get logged out, or I get logged out of the forum and can't ever log out of the gallery.  Firefox is being much more of a problem.

I have to investigate further.  I'll PM you two when I have slept and have time tomorrow to solve this last issue.

Found this in a thread searching for a workaround:

QuoteSMF will work with Safe mode on, but you cannot install mods since the package manager doesn't work in Safe mode on. And SMF also have some issues with Coppermine. If you log in from Coppermine, you are not redirected back to Coppermine. You get stuck in SMF. And the solution is to put a link to coppermine in SMF log in page. There is also another problem with SMF, when you log out from Coppermine you will end up on SMF log in page with an error. Telling you to log out again. This is due to the fact that the bridge that comes with Coppermine was written for an older version of SMF. They say it will work again when Coppermine 1.4 is released, but nobody knows when that is going to happen.

This post is 10 months old.  1.4 obviously didn't fix it, but maybe there's a solution now...

Well here's where I am:  I got the old gallery working with a little effort -this was good!  I could not get it to hook into the forum like the old phpbb/gallery setup.  I upgraded the gallery to the latest version and it did hook into the user list for this forum but it started causing some flakey activity with firefox.  i then did some research and altered some settings -the gallery slowed to a crawl and still had issues.

I have since done some more reading and found a few fundamantal mistakes I made in my gallery when I first set it up on this host.  I will be doing some more testing and reinstalling and I am confident the gallery will be working and I won't lose anything.  I am positive I can set up a new gallery, import the photos without the comments and captions, and have it work.  I just really want to keep all the old captions if it's at all possible.

I will PM people with the link to test as soon as i have a version of the gallery that seems stable.
